 How to check email using Windows Mobile phone?
Solution

To configure your mobile phone for Email access, follow the guide below.

  1. Go to your Messenging
  2. From the Menu option, click on Tools
  3. Select New Account...
  4. In the E-mail address field, enter your email address
  5. Uncheck the option for "Try to get e-mail settings automatically from the Internet"
  6. Click on next
  7. From the Your e-mail provider drop-down menu, select Internet e-mail
  8. Click on next
  9. In the Your name field, enter the name that you want your receiptent to see (eg. John Leong)
  10. In the Account display name field, enter the name you want to uniquely identify the account (Ignore if not sure)
  11. Click on next
  12. In the Incoming mail server field, enter mail.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your domain name)
  13. From the Account type drop down, select IMAP4
  14. Click on next
  15. In the User name field, enter your full email address
  16. In the Password field, enter your email password
  17. In the Outgoing (SMTP) mail server field, enter mail.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your domain name)
  18. Check the option for Outgoing server requires authentication
  19. Check the option for Use the same user name and password for sending e-mail
  20. Ignore the Advanced Server Settings
  21. Click on next
  22. From the Automatic Send/Receive drop down menu, select your send and receive frequency (recommended: Manually)
    Note: Setting a very low Send/Receive frequency like 2mins will increase your Mobile Internet charges
  23. Click on Advanced Setting (Ignore if not sure)
  24. Click on Finish

You have completed the setup process.

To check your email

  1. From the account drop down menu (Located top left of Messenger), choose your email account (default: yourdomain.com)
  2. From the Menu option, click on Send/Receive
  3. Watch your email flow in.
