Change the Name Servers of your Vodien Domain

When you register a Domain Name with us, the Name Servers are set to the following records, by default:

  • NS1.VODIEN.COM
  • NS2.VODIEN.COM
  • NS3.VODIEN.COM

However, you always have the option to change your Name Servers.

What are Name Servers

Think of a Name Servers as the internet's phone contact list. Computers don't understand words like vodien.com; they only understand numbers, like 162.159.24.10. When you type a website name into your browser, the nameserver looks up that name and tells your computer the exact number it needs to connect to the site. It translates human words into computer numbers.

Name Servers also determine where your DNS records are managed. If your domain is registered with us but uses Name Servers from an external hosting provider, you’ll need to manage your DNS records through that provider.

Before changing your Name Servers, contact your hosting provider to obtain your current records that you are using for your domain.
