How to delete a cPanel email account

You can delete a cPanel email account that is no longer needed to free up storage and keep your email environment organized.

Before you delete an email

Keep in mind that deleting an email account permanently removes all emails, folders, and other mailbox data associated with that account. Any email applications or devices configured to use the deleted email address will no longer be able to send or receive messages.

Before continuing, ensure that you have backed up any information you may need.

Deleting a cPanel email account

1. Log in to your Vodien account.
2. In the top product menu, select Web Hosting.
3. Click MANAGE next to the domain that contains the email account you want to remove.
4. Click CONTROL PANEL.
5. Under Quick Links, click cPanel Email.
6. Select Email Accounts and click CONTINUE to open cPanel.
7. Locate the email account you want to remove and click Manage.
8. Scroll down and click Delete Email Account.
9. Click Delete again to confirm the action.

Things to keep in mind

Once the deletion is complete, the email account and all associated mailbox data can no longer be recovered through cPanel.

If needed, you can create a new email account in cPanel, configure a replacement mailbox, or update any email applications and devices that previously used the deleted address.
