How to Download and Restore Database Backup via JetBackup

Your database or databases are the most important part of your website, this is where all data are saved from your design to your clients’ information. Just like file backups, you can download and restore database backup via JetBackup via cPanel.

Download Database Backup

Follow the steps below on how to download a copy for your database backup on your local computer:

Step 1. Log in to the cPanel using this link format: http://yourdomain.com/cpanel/
Replace yourdomain.com with the Main Domain Name connected to your hosting.
Step 2. Click Database Backups under JetBackup panel.

Step 3. Under Database Backups, choose the date you’d like to download and click Generate Download.

Step 4. Click Add to Download Queue. The request will be in progress.
Step 5. Click Download once it’s available under Actions.

A copy of your database will be downloaded on your Downloads folder or depending on which location you’ve saved it.

Restore Database Backup

Here are the steps on how to restore your database backup through JetBackup:

Step 1. Log in to the cPanel using this link format: http://yourdomain.com/cpanel/
Replace yourdomain.com with the Main Domain Name connected to your hosting.
Step 2. Click Database Backups under JetBackup panel.

Step 3. Click Restore under Actions.

Step 4. Check the box “Are you sure you want to restore this account?” and click Add to Restore Queue.

If you go back to the Home Page and click Queue under JetBackup panel, you’ll see the status of your request from there. On the other hand, you will receive an email that the restoration is done.
