How to Manage Mailing List Manager

The mailing list is a way of grouping your email marketing contacts. This makes the sending of customised email campaigns more convenient.  

Here’s what you can do with MAILING LIST MANAGER:  

Requirement: Learn to manage email marketing contacts first before going through this article. Contacts are needed in the mailing list.

Add New Mailing List

Follow the steps below to add a new mailing list to your email marketing account.  

  1. Access your Email Marketing dashboard. 
  2. Click CONTACTS.

3. Under the MAILING LIST MANAGER tab, click ADD NEW MAILING LIST.

4. The newly added mailing list defaults to the name Mailing List. Rename it to your desired label.

A newly added mailing list defaults to the name Mailing List so you need to rename it for easy identification of your contact group. You can also rename an existing mailing list to a different name. The steps to do it are the following.  

  1. Access your Email Marketing dashboard. 
  2. Click CONTACTS.

3. Under the MAILING LIST MANAGER tab, go to the My Mailing Lists.  

4. Click the ellipsis […] on the mailing list to rename and choose Rename.  

5. Enter the new name in the box and click RENAME to save the changes. However, if you no longer want to change it, click CANCEL.

Delete a Mailing List  

A deleted mailing list can no longer be undone. Deleting a mailing list does not delete the contacts in it. Follow the steps below to learn how.  

  1. Access your Email Marketing dashboard. 
  2. Click CONTACTS.

3. Under the MAILING LIST MANAGER tab, go to the My Mailing Lists.  

4. Click the ellipsis […] on the mailing list to delete and choose Delete.  

5. Click the DELETE button to save the changes.

The deleted mailing list is removed instantly.  

Assign Contacts to Mailing List 

After you add the contacts, you may need to group or sort them via mailing lists. Follow the steps below to assign the contacts to the mailing list/s.   

  1. Access your Email Marketing dashboard. 
  2. Click CONTACTS.

3. Under the MAILING LIST MANAGER tab, select the contacts to assign. The selected contacts will have a checkmark on the right.

4. Drag the selected contacts to the mailing list where you want to assign them. The mailing lists are listed under the Mailing Lists section on the left. If you need to add a new mailing list, refer to this guide to add a new mailing list.

The message below will show once the assigning of contacts is successful.

Unassign a Contact From the Mailing List 

If you need to remove a contact from the mailing list, unassign the contact using the steps below.  

  1. Access your Email Marketing dashboard. 
  2. Click CONTACTS.

3. Under the MAILING LIST MANAGER tab, go to the My Mailing Lists

4. Click the mailing list to see the contacts assigned to it.  

5. Click the contacts to unassign and it should be indicated with a checkmark on the right.

6. Click the Unassign button.

7. Select which mailing list/s you want to unassign the contact/s from. You can choose multiple lists at once and the choice will apply to all contacts selected from Step 5.  

8. Click UNASSIGN to save the changes.

A confirmation message will show at the top of the page once changes are successful.
