How To Set Up Microsoft 365 Email in the iPhone Mail App

This guide will show you how to set up your Microsoft 365 email account in the Mail app on your iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and other iOS devices.

Automatic setup for Microsoft 365 email

Here’s how you can automatically add your M365 email to the Mail app of your iOS device.

Go to Settings > Apps > Mail, then tap Mail Accounts.
Tap Add Account and choose Microsoft Exchange.
Enter your email address, and a short description of your account, then tap Next.
In the pop-up, tap Sign In.
Select Continue.
Tap Next to proceed.
Select Skip setup if prompted.
Select the services (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, etc.) you want to sync, then tap Save.

You should see Exchange on your list of mail accounts and you’re all set.

NOTE:

It may take a few minutes for all your emails to appear.
Try sending a test email to confirm everything is working properly.

Manual setup & server settings

If you prefer to set up your account manually or need the server details, see the information and example screenshot below:

Email: Your Microsoft 365 email address
Server: Enter outlook.office365.com
Domain: Leave this blank
Username: Enter your full M365 email address
Password: Password to your M365 email address
Description: You can keep the default “Exchange” or enter a custom name
