A Domain Validated (DV) SSL Certificate is the most basic one. This requires the least verification process. Certificate Authority (CA) verifies if you won the domain which you’ve requested the certificate. This is best for personal blogs, etc.
Domain Control Validation
To get this, you will need to create a valid email address with your domain name. The verification process through email is to ensure that you, as the requestor, has admin rights on the domain name. The approval of your certificate will be sent to the following email address:
Wildcard SSL
Organisation Validation (OV) Certificate requires you to prove that your organisation is a legal entity. This process is a log more detailed than the Standard SSL. It may take a few days to validate the certificate which is why OV Certificates provide a better authentication.
