How to lock and unlock your domain

Domain Lock (also known as Registrar Lock) helps protect your domain from unauthorized transfers. When enabled, it adds an extra layer of security by preventing your domain from being transferred to another registrar without your approval.

As the domain owner, you can enable or disable Domain Lock through your Vodien account.

How to lock and unlock your domain

  1. Access your Domain Manager.
  2. In the Overview section, find Domain Lock.
  3. Use the Domain Lock toggle:
    • To lock your domain, switch the toggle On, then click LOCK DOMAIN.
    • To unlock your domain, switch the toggle Off, then click UNLOCK DOMAIN.

Take note

We recommend keeping Domain Lock enabled whenever possible. A locked domain provides additional protection against unauthorized or accidental domain transfers.

Only disable Domain Lock if you need to transfer the domain to another registrar or if instructed to do so as part of a legitimate domain management process.
