Office 365 DNS Records at Vodien

Office 365 is a cloud-based software subscription offered by Microsoft, which can be subscribed via Vodien. Depending on the Office 365 package, you may have Email Exchange hosting and/or Microsoft Office Essentials. For more details, you can view the different packages by clicking the link below:

If you have signed up for this service, Microsoft will need you to verify and add a few DNS Records for your domain name.

But, what do you do with these Office 365 DNS Records?

Manage Your Office 365 DNS

Microsoft will provide you with the following DNS Records for verification purposes:

  • Name Servers
  • CNAME
  • MX
  • SRV
  • TXT

If you don’t have a site:

They’ll usually recommend adding the Name Servers as it is easier and much faster. Once the Name Servers are changed, you no longer need to update the CNAMEMXSRV, and TXT. However, this option will affect your website if you have one. Only change your Name Servers if you don’t have a website.

If your domain name is registered with Vodien, you may change your Name Servers using this guide. Otherwise, please contact your domain Registrar so they can add the Name Servers for you.

If you have a website:

Do not change your Name Servers as this will disconnect your domain from your web hosting server. Instead, you may add the CNAMEMXSRV, and TXT Records provided to you by Microsoft.

If your domain name is registered with Vodien, you may change your DNS Records using this guide. Otherwise, please contact your domain Registrar so they can add the DNS Records for you.

Please do not hesitate to contact our 24/7 Singapore or Australia Support Team if you have further questions.
