How to Transfer Domain Name Between Vodien Accounts

Domain owners do not necessarily have to be technical when it comes to starting their website. Some hire professional or freelance developers to create their website for them. In most cases, domain owners give their developers access to their domain for DNS management.

The process of transferring domain names from one Vodien account to another is referred to as Internal Transfer. This will NOT change the domain ownership or the registrant of the domain name.

When to Process Internal Transfer

As the owner of the domain name, it will always be your discretion if you wish to hand the management responsibility over to your developer. However, we strongly advise against providing others access to your own Vodien account as this will also give them full access to your personal information, including your payment details, and all your registered domainshosting, and other products.

How to Request for Internal Transfer

You will need to request the transfer of the domain name to the transferee’s account by sending an email. The request email should come from the Transferor’s current Registrant email address. Follow the format below when sending the request:

Name of the Transferor:
Customer ID of the Transferor: (access your Vodien account for your Customer ID)
Registered email address on file:
Domain name/s that you are transferring:
Valid ID: (driver’s license, passport, etc)

IMPORTANT: Include the following statement at the end of your email:
 

“I hereby transfer the domain name/s to *Name of the Transferee with their Customer ID*, so they can manage the domain/s on my behalf. I understand that this will not change the ownership of the domain name/s. All information contained in this transfer is true, complete and correct, and not misleading.”

The Transferee is also required to send an acknowledgement email to us, confirming the request for transfer. The email must come from the Transferee’s registered email address, or the email connected to the receiving Vodien account. Follow the format below when sending the request:

Name of the Transferee:
Customer ID of the Transferee: (access the receiving Vodien account)
Registered email address on file:
Domain name/s that you are receiving:
Valid ID: (driver’s license, passport, etc)

IMPORTANT: Include the following statement at the end of the email:
 

“I hereby acknowledge the transfer of the domain name/s from *Name of the Transferor with their Customer ID* so I can manage the domain/s on their behalf. I understand that this will not change the ownership of the domain name/s. I am fully aware of my responsibilities, and the consequences that will occur in case of domain name renewals, expiration, updates, etc. All information contained in this transfer is true, complete and correct, and not misleading.”

Please send the email to our Support Team. We recommend that you cc the other party in your request email so all they need to do is respond for acknowledgement.
