How to Transfer Emails Using Thunderbird

There are times that you wish to move or transfer emails from one email account to another. You’ll have to have both emails added on your Thunderbird. We also recommend to set up your email using the IMAP protocol so that all incoming emails are synchronisedto the server and not downloaded on the email client.

Once you are ready, follow the instructions below:

Step 1. Open Thunderbird
Step 2. Select the email account.
Step 3. Open the folder where the emails are stored.
Step 4. From Menu, click the arrow next to Edit and choose Select All.

Step 5. Right-click on any message. Select Copy To, chose the email account and the folder where the emails will be copied.

Step 6. Wait for Thunderbird to finish the copying of emails.
Step 7. Check if all emails are copied successfully. d

Allow a few minutes for the transferred email to appear on the folder you’ve chosen.
