How to enable link and file tracking in Titan Email
The Titan Link and File Tracking feature lets you monitor when recipients click links in your emails and download shared attachments. By turning on this feature, you can track engagement and better understand how recipients interact with your email content.
How to enable Link Tracking
Link Tracking notifies you whenever a recipient clicks on a tracked link in your email. This feature helps you measure engagement and determine how recipients interact with your content.
Here's how you can enable link tracking:
- Log in to your Titan Webmail.
- Open the Composer window and start drafting a new message.
- Enter the recipient's email address and add a subject line.
- In the message body, add a hyperlink by selecting Insert Link from the formatting toolbar.
- Enter the URL and the display text for the link.
- Turn on the Track this link option.
- Click Insert to add the tracked link to your email.
After you send the email, Titan Email notifies you whenever a recipient clicks on the tracked link. The notification includes information such as the recipient's details and the date and time of the interaction.
How to enable File Tracking
File Tracking notifies you when recipients download files and attachments that you share through email. Tracked files are hosted securely and are automatically deleted after 60 days to help maintain security.
Here's how you can enable file tracking:
- Log in to your Titan Webmail.
- Open the Composer window and create a new email.
- Add the recipient's email address and subject line.
- Click Attach File (paperclip icon) from the toolbar, then select Attach tracked files.
- Select the file or files you want to monitor and attach them to the email.
When a recipient downloads a tracked file, Titan Email sends you a notification that includes the date and time of the download.
How to view tracking insights and activity
You can view link clicks, file downloads, and other engagement data from the Link and File Tracking dashboard.
- In the top-right corner of your webmail, click Read Receipts (eye icon).
- Select a tracking notification from the list.
The Link and File Tracking dashboard opens and displays detailed activity for the selected email. From here, you can review information such as email opens, link clicks, attachment downloads, and their corresponding timestamps.
Follow recommended tracking practices
Using tracking features responsibly can help maintain good email deliverability and reduce the likelihood of messages being flagged as spam.
