What Is a Domain Name Backorder
A Backorder is a specialised service that attempts to reserve a domain name that’s already taken, expired, or deleted. The Vodien Backorder system will scan and monitor the domain like a hawk, and aim to register it as soon as it becomes available.
If the domain expires within the time frame specified for your backorder and the current owner does not renew it, our system will attempt to register the domain name for you.
Our automated system is backed by multiple servers and connections to ensure the highest success rate in acquiring your desired domain. Most of the time, however, backorder follows a ‘first come, first serve’ principle due to the possibility that other providers are also attempting to process a backorder for the same domain name.
What Happens if Backorder is Successful
The success of a backorder depends on whether the current owner lets the domain expire or deletes it. Once the domain becomes available, our system will attempt to secure it through backorder. If successful, the domain will be registered to you free of charge for one year.
INFO. Once a domain is successfully secured through backorder, it will be registered for a period of one year only—regardless of the number of years selected for the backorder service. Any remaining term from the backorder purchase is non-refundable.
What Happens if Backorder is Unsuccessful
If the domain you’re targeting isn’t yet available for public registration, you can renew your backorder service as often and for as long as you wish.
When you place a backorder, you're paying Vodien to monitor the domain and attempt to secure it the moment it becomes available. Please note that this service is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome.
