What is domain guard
Domain Guard provides additional protection for your domain against unauthorized access, security threats, and fraudulent activity. This guide explains the available Domain Guard features and how to activate, manage, and cancel the service.
What features are included with domain guard
Domain Guard provides domain security and privacy features, each offering a different level and type of protection. Domain Privacy hides your personal information from the public WHOIS database, although availability may vary by domain extension. For example, .AU domains are regulated by auDA, which restricts private registration. Private Tech protects your information by hiding your technical contact details.
Important: Some registries do not allow Domain Privacy as per their rules and regulations, e.g. the .AU family. Other domains can still have privacy protection but on a reduced level. For domains that are not eligible for WHOIS privacy, only the Domain Monitoring and Security features are available.
- We’ve partnered with a trusted third-party provider to offer enhanced Domain Monitoring features, including malware scanning and blacklist monitoring, to help protect your website and domain reputation.
- All monitoring services are managed directly through the provider’s website using your existing SiteLock login details.
- f your domain already has an active paid SiteLock plan, a notification will appear in your Control Panel and via API. This notification confirms that the plan has already been provisioned and reminds you that any plan management or updates must be completed through the platform where the plan was originally purchased.
