How to Download and Restore Email Backups via JetBackup
Accidentally deleting an email on an IMAP device deletes it everywhere including the server. Good thing, Vodien web hosting plans have JetBackup that randomly generates a backup and stores it in your cPanel. Below is the list on how often backups are generated based on your hosting package:
- Web Hosting – a copy every two weeks
- Web Hosting with Automated Daily Backups addon – daily backup (Last 7 days – 7 copies)
- Business Hosting – daily backup (Last 7 days – 7 copies)

How to Restore Email Backups via JetBackup
One can easily restore the emails of an account from a previous date and overwrite the current contents of the inbox. Follow the steps below on how to do it.
Step 1. Log in to cPanel.
Step 2. Under JetBackup, click Email Backups.
Step 3. Click the corresponding RESTORE button for the email address and backup date that you want to restore.
Note: This restores the password, emails, and other data for that certain date. It overwrites the contents of your mailbox. Thus, the emails after that backup date won’t be showing.
Step 4. Tick the box to confirm the restoration of the account and click Add to Restore Queue.
A message will show that the selected backup is added to the queue.
Step 5. Check the progress of the restoration by clicking the Queue icon under JetBackup on the cPanel homepage.
