How To Access Linux VPS Dashboard for ServerMule

ServerMule is one of the many brands integrated into Vodien system to make the billing interface and VPS (Virtual Private Server) access more organized and accessible in one go.

This article will show you how to access and navigate through your Linux VPS dashboard using your Vodien Account Manager and your VPS dashboard.

Accessing the Linux VPS Dashboard

1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. Click the VPS button on the menu bar at the top of the page.
   
   
   
    
3. A list of your VPS plans will be displayed. Choose the plan you wish to access.

NOTE: If you only have a single plan, you will automatically be redirected to the VPS dashboard.

Main Functionalities of VPS Dashboard

• Console –Click to start a console session similar to an SSH connection.
• Start – Click to start a stopped server.
• Power–Off– Click this option to force shut down the server. This is not used for proper shutdown.
• Shutdown – Click this option to perform a proper shutdown.
• Reboot – Click to restart the server. This is usually done if there are changes applied to the server settings.
• Rebuild – Click this option to delete all existing data on the server and start a new setup or virtual machine.

Virtual Machine

Virtual Machine has several tabs that allow you to modify the settings of your server. Please see the list of tabs and the available options under each of them:

1. Virtual Machine Information
   
   
    
   • Hostname – Also known as the server name, distinguishes the current server from other servers. You can change the hostname in the corresponding field provided.
   • Initial Password – This serves as the initial system-generated password which can be changed once you update the root password.
   • OS Template – This consists of system programs, libraries, and scripts needed to boot up and run the server as well as basic applications and utilities. An Edit option can be found in its corresponding field where you can change it.
   • Pending Changed OS Template – This shows the template you have recently set in the edit OS (Operating System) template feature before you confirm to apply the changes.
   • Mounted ISO – This pertains to the currently attached ISO files that are used to distribute the operating system. An option to mount the ISO can be found in its corresponding field.
   • Boot Order – This shows the order list of hardware where the system checks the OS' files.
   • Snapshot – This is an exact copy of your server's files at the time when the snapshot was created. This is commonly used for restoration purposes. You can create, restore, and delete a snapshot under this tab.
   • Server Status – This area shows the server and network status, uptime, CPU usage, memory, disk space, and the server's public and private IP addresses.
      
2. Manage Firewall – This is the server's security system that controls and manages the incoming and outgoing traffic of the server. An option to add, edit, and delete a firewall rule is available on this tab. You can also disallow an IP address to connect to the server.
   
   
   
    
3. SSH Keys – These are used to establish an SSH connection. On this tab, you can add and delete an SSH Key.
   
   
   
    
4. Activity Log – This tab shows the records of all activities done on the server. This includes the activity made, the date and time it happened, and its current status.
