How to manage your Vodien SSL Certificate

Learn how to access, download, and install your Vodien SSL certificate based on your hosting environment. By following the steps in this article, you'll be able to retrieve your certificate files and ensure your SSL certificate is properly installed and ready to secure your website.

 

How to access and download your SSL certificate

You may need to access your SSL certificate if your website is hosted outside Vodien or if you want to save a backup copy for future use.

Follow these steps to access and download your SSL certificate:

  1. Log in to your Vodien Account.
  2. Select SSL Certificate from the product menu on top.
  3. Find your SSL product and click MANAGE. This will open the SSL Certificate Product Manager.
  4. Hover over the + icon and click Download.

 

What is included in the SSL certificate file

When you download your SSL certificate, you'll receive a compressed (.zip) file that contains the following certificate components:

  • Primary SSL Certificate
    • Your SSL certificate: <yourdomain_com>.crt
       
  • Certificate Authority (CA) chain certificates
    • Root CA Certificate: USERTrustRSACertificationAuthority.crt
    • Intermediate CA Certificate: SectigoPublicServerAuthenticationRootR46_USERTrust.crt
    • Intermediate CA Certificate: SectigoPublicServerAuthenticationCADVR36.crt

 

How to install your SSL certificate

The installation process varies depending on where your website is hosted.

  • Hosted with Vodien: Your SSL certificate is automatically installed on your hosting account once it has been issued, so no further action is needed.
     
  • Hosted with another provider: You'll need to install the SSL certificate within your hosting environment. Contact your hosting provider for guidance on uploading and configuring the certificate correctly.
     
  • Using a VPS or dedicated server: You are responsible for installing the SSL certificate on your server. Follow the installation guide that matches your control panel:
     
      Be sure to install all required certificate files correctly to help prevent SSL configuration issues.
