How To Set Up Your Email Account on Gmail App

This article explains how to set up an existing Vodien email account on the Gmail app for Android and iOS. It lists the prerequisite that the email account must already be created and configured, then provides steps to add the account using the “Other” option within the Gmail app.

Ready your email setup settings

Before setting up the Gmail app, make sure your email account has already been created, configured, and verified as working. The Gmail app only connects to an existing email account—it does not create one.

Use the guides below to create an email account, configure DNS records, test email delivery, and find the incoming and outgoing mail server settings:

Connect your email account to the Gmail app

Once you have your email configuration settings ready, you can proceed to connect your email account to the Gmail app.

On your Android phone or tablet, open your Gmail app.
At the top right of the screen, tap the Profile.
Tap Add another account, then Other.
Follow the steps on the screen and enter the required settings of your email account.
