How to Update cPanel Password

Note: Before you proceed with updating your cPanel password, you should have your current password in hand. If not, we recommend going through reset password and you can then proceed with the steps below.

Just like changing our email address password regularly, we also recommend doing this for your cPanel. This increases security to your account. You can change your cPanel password through the cPanel interface.

Follow the steps below on how to update your cPanel password:

Step 1. Log in to the cPanel using this link format: http://yourdomain.com/cpanel/ 
Replace yourdomain.com with the Main Domain Name connected to your hosting. 
Step 2. Click User Preferences beside Logout.
Step 3. Choose Password & Security.

Step 4. Type in your old password and your new password, twice.

Step 5. Click Change your password now!
