VD Linux | Control Panel Interface

This article introduces the Linux Control Panel interface and explains its main sections and features. It will help you become familiar with the dashboard and identify where to access the tools needed to manage your hosting services.

The Linux Control Panel is the primary interface for managing your hosting account, including websites, email accounts, databases, files, and other hosting configurations.

 

How to access your Linux Control Panel

  1. Log in to your Vodien Account.  
  2. Click on the Web Hosting or WordPress tab (depending on what hosting type you've purchased). This will open the list of your active Linux hosting plans. 
    • For Web Hosting, click the domain name of your hosting to open the Hosting Product Manager. 
    • For WordPress hosting, click on MANAGE to open the Hosting Product Manager. 
  3. In the Hosting Product Manager, click on the Control Panel tab

 

The Vodien Linux Control Panel interface includes the following sections. Click a section below to jump directly to that part of the guide.

Website search section

Use the website search bar to find a specific website you've created. This is helpful if you've added multiple websites to your Linux Hosting.

 

Add a website button

To add or create a website, use the ADD SITE button. Learn more about creating a website in your Vodien Linux Control Panel

 

Website list

The websites table lists all the websites you've created or added. Each website has the following actions:  

Column Description and action

Site

Displays the name of the website and its URL.

Type

Displays the type of the website: 

  • WordPress. For WordPress website. 
  • Other. For an empty website. 

Action

Displays the following actions you can perform: 

 

Server details

This section shows the server details of your web hosting account, including the Name Servers and IP Address you can use, SSH Keys, and FTP access.

Item Descriptions and actions

DNS Records

Displays the Name Servers that you can use to point your domain to your website. 
 
Click COPY to copy the details in your clipboard.

IP Address

Click VIEW to see the IP address of your web server. Point your domain's A record to this IP address in order for your website to work.

SSH Keys

Click MANAGE KEYS to go to the SSH Access (opens an external website) in cPanel. 

Click COPY below the SSH Keys to copy your SSH user. 

FTP Access

Click MANAGE to access your FTP accounts (opens an external website) in cPanel. 

 

This section provides quick access to your cPanel (opens an external website), File Manager (opens an external website) and Email Accounts.  

 

Resource usage section

This section provides a quick overview of your current hosting plan's storage usage (Disk Usage) and file count (Inode).
