VD Website Builder | Embed Videos to Your Site
This guide will walk you through how to add videos to your website using the Vodien Website Builder. By following these steps, you’ll be able to display videos from platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, or Dailymotion, helping make your site more interactive and engaging for visitors.
IMPORTANT. You cannot upload videos directly to your website. You must first upload your video to a supported platform like YouTube, Vimeo, or Dailymotion, then paste the video link into your site.
Embed videos to your website
Follow these steps to embed or add a video:
- Add a video element to your page using any of the options below:
- Click on the video element, then select Edit.
- Paste your YouTube, Vimeo, or Dailymotion link into the Video Link field.
- Go to the Design tab to update the preview image, or remove it to use the default video thumbnail.
NOTE. For YouTube Shorts, only paste the video identifier ID (the code at the end of the link). Using the full URL will not work.
Add a new video section
You can quickly insert a ready-made video layout into your website.
- In the Website Editor side menu, click the Add Section icon to open the section panel.
- Scroll down to Videos and browse the available video section designs.
- Drag and drop your preferred section onto your page.
- Click the video and update the video link and preview image as needed.
Insert a video element into an existing section
If you already have a section where you want to place a video, follow these steps:
- In the Website Editor side menu, click the Add Element icon to open the element panel.
- Drag and drop the Video element into your chosen section.
- Once the video section is added, click the video element and edit the video link and preview image.
You’re all set!
You’re all set! Your video has been added to your website. To make sure everything appears on your live site, remember to save and publish your changes after making any updates.
