VD Website Builder | Manage Your Website Image Files

This guide walks you through how to upload and manage your image files in Website Builder. By the end of this guide, you'll be able to add images to your website and reuse them across different pages without having to upload them multiple times.

How your image files are stored

Website Builder does not provide direct access to your website’s file system, such as HTML, CSS, or server files. Instead, you manage images directly within the builder while editing your pages.

Any image you upload is stored within the builder and can be reused across your website at any time.

How to upload images to your website

You can add images directly while editing your pages using the Image element or sections. Follow these steps:

  1. Open your Website Editor
  2. From the side menu, click the + icon to open the Add Element panel.
  3. Find the Image element.
  4. Drag and drop the Image element to the desired section of your page.
  5. Click the Image element on your site. This will open the file manager.
  6. Click the UPLOAD tab.
  7. Click the DRAG & DROP area. This opens your computer's file explorer.
  8. Select the image you want to upload from your computer files, then click Open.
  9. Once uploaded, click SELECT to add it to your page.

How to reuse uploaded images

Any image you upload is saved in your Files library, so you don’t need to upload it again when using it on other pages. To reuse an image, follow these steps:

  1. Click an existing image on your page.
  2. From the image toolbar, click the Replace image option.
  3. Open the MY PHOTOS tab.
  4. Browse and click the image you want to use.
  5. Click SELECT.

You’re all set!

Your image is now updated on your page. Remember to publish your changes so they go live on your website. Whenever you need to add or swap images in the future, your uploaded files will always be available in the MY PHOTOS tab for easy access.
