This article explains the DNS and name server services available in Vodien, how they are managed, and how to identify where your domain’s DNS settings are hosted.
Vodien provides different DNS management options depending on the hosting service or product linked to your domain. Each service uses specific name servers, which determines where your DNS records are managed.
Standard DNS
Domains registered with Vodien automatically use Vodien's Standard DNS (default). This DNS service supports common and advanced DNS record types, including A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, and SRV records.

Web Hosting DNS
If you have a Website Builder, Linux or Windows Hosting services with Vodien, your domain can use the Web Hosting DNS which can be either through the cPanel or Plesk.

How to identify where your DNS is managed
You can determine where your DNS is managed by checking the current name servers assigned to your domain in Vodien.
- If your domain uses
ns1.vodien.comandns2.vodien.com, your DNS is managed in your Vodien Account Manager. - If your domain uses
ns100.vodien.comandns101.vodien.com, your DNS is managed through cPanel for Linux hosting. - If your domain uses
cns1.vodien.comandcns2.vodien.com, your DNS is managed through Plesk for Windows hosting.
How to check your domain’s active name servers
If you need to confirm which DNS service your domain is currently using in Vodien, you can check its active name servers using a WHOIS lookup.
Follow these steps:
- Open a WHOIS lookup tool.
- Enter your domain name in the search field.
- Run the lookup.
- Review the Name Servers section in the results to identify the current name servers assigned to your domain.
