Change PHP Version

When you create a website, applications can be applied. Which requires different PHP version where they are compatible with. There could be times that your website will not work because your current PHP version is incorrect or not compatible with the applications you’ve installed.

Note: Before changing the current PHP version, make sure that it is compatible to all your websites that is under your hosting plan. If you have Addon Domains under one hosting account, these websites will be using the same PHP version.

Here are the steps on how to change the PHP version on your cPanel:

Step 1. Log in to the cPanel using this link format: http://yourdomain.com/cpanel/  
Replace yourdomain.com with the Main Domain Name connected to your hosting.
Step 2. Click Select PHP Version under Software panel.

Step 3. You’ll see the current PHP version selected. Select the desired PHP version and click Set as current to save.

If there are more changes, you may select and deselect modules. For PHP Options, click Options tab. Select or deselect options you like changed and enter necessary values on the text fields. It will be automatically saved once you’re done.
