How to Transfer Domain Name to Vodien

Before anything else, your Domain Name is required by most Domain Registries to be registered for at least (3) three months before transfer. If you have owned the Domain for less than (3) three months, the Domain Transfer may NOT be allowed to push through.

Steps Before Actual Transfer

The following steps need to be done through your Current Domain Registrar, before initiating the Domain Transfer within Vodien:

1. Unlock your Domain Name.
2. Access your Domain Password or Registry Key (also known as EPP code or Authorisation code).

If you do not know how to accomplish the above steps, you may contact your Current Domain Registrar to do it for you.

Steps for Actual Transfer

Once you’ve already performed the above-mentioned steps, you can now proceed with initiating the Domain Transfer to Vodien Internet Solutions via Vodien website, or via your Vodien Account Manager, using the corresponding instructions below:

If via Vodien website:

1. Visit the Vodien website.
2. Hover your cursor over Domains at the top menu, then click Domain Transfer.
3. Enter the Domain Name you want to transfer in the field provided, then click on the Transfer button.
4. Enter the Domain Password or Registry Key provided by your Current Domain Registrar in the corresponding field and click the Add button.
5. Click Buy Now to proceed to your Shopping Cart.
6. Depending on the Domain Name, there may be a required Domain Renewal. Select the number of years you wish to Renew the Domain for.
   Note: Your Domain’s expiry will automatically be extended by the number of years selected during the Transfer.
7. Click on the Pay Securely button to continue.
8. If you already have an account with us, enter your Account Manager username and password in the fields provided under Returning Customer, then click Log In.
   If not, you can create an account using the form under New Customer, then click Continue Order.Click on the Pay Securely button to continue.
9. You will be redirected to the Payment page where you can complete the Transfer (and Renewal) of your Domains.

If via Account Manager:

1. Visit the Vodien website.
2. Click My Account at the top of the page.
3. Ensure that Account Manager is selected from the drop-down list.
4. Enter your username and password, then click Log In.
5. On your Account Manager home page, click Domains from the top menu.
6. Click Transfer from the left-side menu.
7. Enter the Domain Name you want to transfer in the field provided, then click on the Transfer button.
8. Enter the Domain Password or Registry Key provided by your Current Domain Registrar in the corresponding field and click the Add button.
9. Click Buy Now to proceed to your Shopping Cart.
10. Depending on the Domain Name, there may be a required Domain Renewal. Select the number of years you wish to Renew the Domain for.
    Note: Your Domain’s expiry will automatically be extended by the number of years selected during the Transfer.
11. Click on the Pay Securely button to continue.
12. You will be redirected to the Payment page where you can complete the Transfer (and Renewal) of your Domains.

The Domain Transfer will be initiated as soon as the payment has been confirmed. However, for some Domains, a confirmation email may be sent to your registered email address where you’ll need to click on a button or link for the Transfer to start. The Transfer Process may take up to 14 days to complete.
