How to Create Autoresponder on Your Email Account
Autoresponder is an automated email sent on your behalf in case you are on vacation, out of office, or simply a generic response that you’ll answer their email as soon as possible.
The email response can be simple or complex (HTML). You can also specify a time frame when it will start or end. You can always create these autoresponders in your cPanel and Webmail.
via cPanel
Step 1. Log in to the cPanel using this link format: http://yourdomain.com/cpanel/.
Replace yourdomain.com with the Main Domain Name connected to your hosting.
Step 2. Click Autoresponders under Email panel.
Step 3. Click Add Autoresponder.
Step 4. Enter all the necessary details in the fields:
Step 5. Click Create to save.
via Webmail
Step 1. Log in to your Webmail. You can go to yourdomain.com/webmail or yourdomain.com:2096
Replace yourdomain.com to your Main Domain Name connected to your email.
Step 2. If you’re immediately logged in to your Mailbox, click Webmail Home.
Or, on Webmail Home choose Autoresponders under Manage Your Inbox.
Step 3. Click Add Autoresponder.
Step 4. Enter all the necessary details in the fields:
Step 5. Click Create to save.
Note: The Interval refers to the number of hours to wait between responses to the same email address.
Example: If you set up an autoresponder with an interval of 24, and you receive an email from [email protected] at 8 am on Monday. The autoresponder will respond to his message immediately. However, if [email protected] continues to email you throughout the day, the autoresponder will not send him another response for 24 hours after his initial email (in this case, 8 am Tuesday). If he emails you again after the 24-hour interval expires, he will receive an auto-response immediately.
If the interval is set to 0, cPanel sends an auto-response to each email.
You can test your autoresponder by sending an email from your personal email account that is not related to your domain name.
