Configure the MX and TXT Records for Titan Email

This article explains how to configure the required MX and TXT records for your domain to use Titan Email with Vodien.

To activate Titan Email, you must add the correct DNS records to your domain’s DNS settings. These records verify your domain ownership, help secure your email service, and direct incoming email messages to Titan’s mail servers. If these records are missing or incorrect, your Titan email service may not work as expected.

The required DNS records are listed in the table below.

Name / Host / Alias Record Type Priority Value / Destination / MX Server

(yourdomain.com)

MX

Instructions for specific DNS zone

The steps for adding MX and TXT records vary depending on where your domain’s DNS is managed. Follow the instructions that match your current DNS zone:

General instructions

Follow these steps if your DNS is hosted with another provider.

  1. Go to the DNS settings of your domain.
  2. Find the existing MX record for your domain.
  3. Update or add MX records.
    • If an MX record exists, replace its value with the Titan Email MX record.
    • If no MX record exists or you need to add the second MX record, create a new MX record using the Titan Email MX record values
  4. Do the same with the TXT record.
  5. Wait for the changes to take effect. DNS update may take up to 72 hours to work.
