Point a domain to your website in Plesk
This guide will help you connect your domain to your website hosted in Plesk. Once the setup is complete, visitors will be able to access your website using your preferred domain name.
To connect your domain, you'll need to add a few DNS records in your domain's DNS settings. These records tell your domain where your website is hosted and ensure that visitors are directed to the correct location.
Add the DNS records below to your domain's DNS settings to point your domain to your website hosted in Plesk:
| Name / Host / Alias | Record Type | IP Address |

DNS zone specific instructions
The steps for adding or updating DNS records vary depending on where your DNS is managed. Select the guide that matches your DNS zone:
- Account Manager DNS
- Plesk DNS (by default, this is already configured)
If you're unsure where your DNS zone is managed, refer to the Vodien DNS guide to find out where your DNS zone is located.
General instructions
If your domain’s DNS is managed by a different provider, follow these steps to connect your domain:
- Go to the DNS settings of your domain.
- Locate the existing A record for your domain (with and without www).
- Update or add the required A records provided above.
- Save your changes and allow time for the DNS updates to propagate. Changes may take up to 72 hours to become active.
Once your DNS changes have propagated, your domain will be connected to your website hosted in Plesk. Visitors will then be able to access your website using your domain name.
