VD Website Builder | How To Add Heading and Text Content

This article describes how to add and customize heading and text elements within the Vodien Website Builder. It explains how to insert a heading or text element, use the editor tools for formatting (such as bold, italics, links, font, size, and color), and work around adding text over an image using pre‑built banners. The article also covers deleting, moving, and resizing text elements.

Adding a heading or text element

The following are the steps on how to add a heading or text element to your site:

1. On the Side Menu of your Website Editor, click + Add Element button. This will open the Element panel.
2. Drag and drop the Text or Heading element to the desired section on your website.

Customising a heading or text element

To edit an existing heading or text content, follow these steps:

1. Double click or highlight the heading or text element that you want to customise.

2. Select any of the following changes that you want to apply:

   Editor Tools	Description
   AI Writer	AI assistant for writing.
   B	Bolds a text.
   I	Italics a text.
   U	Underlines a text.
   Strikethrough	Strikethrough a text.
   H1	Click to assign a header classification.
   Align	Click to set the Alignment of the text on your website page.
   Link	Click to add a Link to your text. Select the type of Link from the drop-down list and specify where you would like to connect it: Page - Select the Page from the second drop-down list. Anchor - Select the Page and Anchor from the second drop-down list. URL - Enter the specific URL in the space provided. File - Click Select your file then drag and drop the file or browse your computer's folders to upload it. If the file has already been uploaded in Website Builder, click on the My Documents tab at the top to select it. If the file is on another online service, click on the Clouds tab at the top to connect to the service and locate the file. Email address - Enter the specific Email address in the space provided. Phone number - Enter the specific Phone number in the space provided.
   Font	Click to set the Font Type, Style, and Format.
   Size	Click to set the Font Size and Line Height.
   Colour	Click to set the text Colour.

    

Adding text over an image

Currently, adding text over the existing image is not supported. However, there is an alternative for this. The simplest way is by adding a pre-built sections and customise it to your needs. There are pre-built sections in your website editor with text overlay on the images you can choose from. Just follow the steps below on how to add a pre-built section with text over an image to your website. 

1. On the Side Menu of your Website Editor, click Add Section button. This will open the Section panel. 
2. Click Banners. 
3. Choose a banner, with text over an image layout. 
4. Drag it to the desired section on your website.
