  • Reset Chrome flags:

  • Enter “chrome://flags/” in your address bar. 
  • You can either disable each one individually or select “Reset all” in the top-right corner.

If you discover any filenames containing these terms, consider replacing them with keywords that are relevant to your content. For example, if you’re writing an article about healthy recipes, ensure that the image titles contain relevant keywords like “nutritious meals,” “delicious cooking,” or “wholesome dishes.” This not only helps prevent incorrect blocks but also enhances the ranking of your pages. 

 

3.Debug your page using an ad blocker 

While third-party tools can sometimes be the cause of the “ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT” error, they can also serve as the solution. Many users rely on productivity-boosting Chrome extensions, which often come equipped with useful debugging features. 

 

As an example, we are using the popular tool Adblock Plus to demonstrate the process. To debug, follow these steps: 

 

  • Open the Chrome page you want to debug. 
  • Right-click anywhere on the web page and then hit “Inspect.” 
  • Click the “AdBlock” tab in the upper right corner.  
  • You’ll be directed to an inspect page focused on AdBlock’s operations. Slide down the console to see all instances of the “failed to load resource” error. 
  • Review each error and look for any recurring patterns. 
  • Once you identify a pattern, you can determine how to avoid blocking. For example, you can remember the terms causing the blocks and avoid using them in the future. You can also rename or repost your resources to avoid using filenames closely related to advertisements. 

 

Note: You can also use AdBlock Plus to debug ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT errors in Mozilla Firefox and other major browsers. 

 

4.Allowlist the website (if you’re a visitor) 

If you’re experiencing issues with a website you don’t own, you can “allowlist” it to ensure all its content displays correctly. To do so, follow these steps: 

  • Go to your Adblock Plus settings page. 
  • In the left-hand menu, select the “Customize” option. 
  • Scroll down to locate the option that says Stop blocking ads.
