Q: How can I check if my web hosting account is applicable for the free migration?

After you have purchased a new web hosting, VPS or Dedicated Server hosting account, our engineers will request access for your current hosting service. We will then conduct a migration assessment to determine if your account is covered under the free migration service.

Q: What if my account exceeds the limitation for the free migration?

After the migration assessment, our sales team will recommend you the next steps to take if your existing web hosting account exceeds our free migration limitations. Other than that, you can also perform the migration on your own.

Q: Can I choose the migration timeslot for my account?

Yes you can. By default, our service delivery team will recommend you the next earliest timeslot for the migration. Please let us know a date you have in mind for the migration if you require. Please note that weekend migrations are chargeable.

Web Hosting transfer includes:

Full cPanel account Migration*
Up to 1 x Website & 5 x Email Boxes (non-cPanel control panel)*
Migration assessment of old hosting account
Migration from cPanel or other control panels to Vodien
Weekday (Mon – Fri) Migration between 2100hrs – 0900hrs (UTC+8)

*Free for 1st 5GB, $25 per each 5GB thereafter.

Transfer DOES NOT include:

Weekend Migration (Surcharge of S$200 required)
Ad-hoc setup requests
Syncing of files (If changes are made to original files during migration)
Updating of info at old hosting account

What does the FREE migration cover?

For cPanel hosting account: Full account migration up to 5GB disk space.

For other hosting accounts: 1 x Website, 5 x Email accounts, up to 5GB disk space.

Here are the steps that our team will take to ensure a smooth transition:

Migration team will assess your existing web hosting account
Migration team will schedule the best timeslot for your migration
Migration will be performed on the scheduled timeslot
After-migration checks will be made to ensure that website and email accounts are working as normal
Team will inform you once the new account at Vodien is ready
